No longer the Dodson-Tyce Clan

I haven't been on here in awhile and for good reason. I am sad to inform all of you that Michael and I were divorced on September 9th 2009. Its a sad and unfortunate thing for everyone involved. Especially the children. I am so sorry to all of our shared children for not being able to make it work. Lord know I tried. I miss all of you and our family unit. Until we meet again.

Well , we had a really good time coloring eggs. And we were quite proud of our creations. Although Easter was not the same this year because , Elijah, Parker & Jaiden were in Texas this year with their dad. So it was just me, my mom, Mike, Alex, Maygan & Brooke. Check out Brooke's Cindy Lue who Hair do.....It was quite funny. She pulled out her hair band, as always!

Family Visits In March

My brother Ben, who lives in Colorado made a surprise visit to me this month. Which was extremely awesome because I haven't seen him in 3 years. He has a one year old son...Grant Michael who I had never seen. He is the cutest little man. I was so grateful to see his whole family. He brought his pregnant wife Angela. We had a great time. We went to dinner, went swimming and went to The Aquarium. Thanks for coming to see me Benny!

Also this month My husband Mike's oldest daughter Amanda came to stay with us for 5 days. It was very enjoyable. We played a lot of video games and Mike took her to play Basketball. Which they both are enthusiasts ! Mike also talked her into taking her basketball scholarship @ South Dakota school of mines. She had given it up the year before and had regretted it ever since. We just found out this week that they are letting her back on her scholarship and she will start in the fall! We are so happy and proud of her. She is a highly talented individual. Go Amanda...We love you!

Touring the Draper Temple

Well today my Home teachers and great people from our ward (Sarah & Jarem Webster) took my family and my mother up to tour the New Draper Temple. I have to say that is was a very humbling experience seeing that I haven't been in side a Temple since I was 13 and did baptisms for the dead. It was extremely beautiful and it was interesting to watch my husband"s reaction as we went through. He had never been through a Temple before, and afterward he was definitely a believer. The kids all behaved(a miracle in it's own wright) my two year old, Brooke even just walked around the entire temple quietly and stared at all the pictures.
There were protesters outside. Me being the person I am, of course I had to say something to the guy who was holding the sign" Joseph smith persecuted the Methodists, Lutherans, etc. I said " Well that's hypocritical isn't it? Aren't you people doing that same thing to us right now?" He didn't have anything to say to that. I thought it was kind of funny.
After touring the Temple and all the sacred rooms in it. I just had a feeling of greater purpose and now know that I want to be sealed to my family for all eternity. So I will be working towards that. At the end of the tour they served yummy cookies and water. I think that was the kids favorite part. =)

Two year Olds & The darn things they say!

So yesterday I had to go pay off some medical bills near Pioneer Valley Hospital. I ran in thinking it wouldn't take very long but unfortunately it did. My husband Mike and our 2 year old Brooke were waiting in the car for me when apparently my husband had to go to the bathroom. With no other choice he took her in to the restroom in the building which was fortunately only a one person stall so you could lock the outer door. Mike shuts the stall and begins to you know what. lol. Brooke starts yelling Daddy you Caca? Daddy you caca? Then she proceeds to stick her head under the stall door and says, "eww you stink daddy!" Now mind you my husband is very Conservative and was very embarrassed by this. Especially as she was chanting it out to the car!
